Difference between gold carats:

14ct gold strikes the happy medium between durability and beauty. Denoted by a ‘14ct‘ or ‘585’ stamp, this type of gold is less likely to tarnish than 9ct gold and is significantly more resistant to scratches compared with higher-carat gold.

18ct gold contains 75% pure gold and 25% other metals, while 9ct gold contains 37.5% pure gold and 62.5% other metals. Therefore 18ct gold is more resistant to tarnishing and corrosion than 9ct gold. 18ct gold jewellery is generally higher in price than 9ct gold jewellery as it has double the pure gold content.

24ct gold. A 24 carat gold is 100 per cent pure gold and does not have any other metal mixed. In the local market, it is known as 99.9 per cent pure and has a distinct bright yellow color. The 24 carat gold is more expensive than 22 or 18 carat gold.
